Newly diagnosed?

An IBD diagnosis can feel like a heavy blow and be quite overwhelming at first. However, many people are still able to live a full life, and this website aims to help support you during this time. Here are some tips on how to navigate your new diagnosis.

Acceptance is an important part of being newly diagnosed. Many of us may try to deny the illness or ignore the effect it may be having on our daily activities, health and well-being. However, acceptance of our diagnosis can allow us to move forward and create meaningful friendships and relationships. It’s a case of people are just like, ah okay that’s different well, fair play.”
